      <image:title>Karolina Prus - Karolina Prus</image:title>
<image:caption>Piano Thanks to the TV character Arthur and her kindergarten teacher Ms. Kim, Karolina became fascinated with the piano at the age of 5 and has been exploring various genres and musical cultures ever since. After studying classical piano her whole childhood, she went on to study jazz piano and saxophone and received her BM from Columbia College Chicago in Jazz Performance in 2016. At Columbia she got the chance to learn from and perform with a variety of world class musicians, the most influential being Stefon Harris and Gerald Clayton. Her studies at Columbia culminated in her traveling to Arcevia, Italy to represent her school in the international Arcevia Jazz Fest which is where she truly realized the power and scope of music. Karolina is fascinated with all genres of music and their cultural implications but she has the deepest connection with South American and Afro-Caribbean genres, Romantic Classical music, and Electronic Dance Music. She has enjoyed exploring the diverse musical communities of Chicago (playing anything from wild Burlesque shows to sophisticated jazz clubs) but for now she is focused on playing with two Latin groups (including Salsa del Norte) and teaching private lessons.</image:caption>
